At the invitation of H.E. Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, H.E. Mr. Bui Thanh Son, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam, is scheduled to pay an official visit to Thailand on 10-12 April 2024. During the visit, he will co-chair the 5th Meeting of the Thailand - Viet Nam Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) with his Thai counterpart on 11 April 2024.

This will be the first official visit to Thailand of H.E. Mr. Bui Thanh Son, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam, and will build on the official visit to Viet Nam of H.E. Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, on 25-26 October 2023.

Both Ministers will co-chair the 5th JCBC where representatives from relevant agencies of both countries will meet to follow up on progress and discuss future steps for Thailand - Viet Nam bilateral cooperation across all areas, including security, trade, investment, tourism, labour, education, culture as well as people-to-people relations. Both sides are expected to exchange views and coordinate their approaches on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
