Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi has been appointed as the Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs since January 2024. Prior to that, She served as the Ambassador of Thailand to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations in Geneva, and the Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, respectively.
Mrs. Pintaruchi began her diplomatic career in 1994. She had served in various departments including the Department of International Economic Affairs, the Office of the Minister, the Department of East Asian Affairs, and the Office of the Policy and Planning. She was also posted to Seoul and Geneva.
Mrs. Pintaruchi has had extensive working experience in the areas of human rights, sustainable development, international trade, and multilateral diplomacy.
Mrs. Pintaruchi has a Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, Washington D.C., USA, and a bachelor degree in Political Science (International Relations) from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
