On 11 December 2022, H.E. Miss Sasirit Tangulrat, Ambassador, accompanied by Mr. Wisit Bunyaritthipong, Counsellor, visited the Thai HMEC under the UNMISS in Juba, the Republic of South Sudan, for the first time, and was welcomed by Lt. Col. Sirichai Chakamroon, officer in charge of the Contingent Commander, the third Thai HMEC under UNMISS.

The Ambassador was briefed about the updated mission currently undertaken by the  third Thai HMEC, visited the canteen, field hospital, accommodation, and the Agricultural Learning Centre, in which the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) in being implemented and has proven to be an excellent way to connect the Thai HMEC with other countries missions in the UNMISS, as well as with the local community in South Sudan.

On this occasion, the Ambassador has praised the accomplishment of the Thai HMEC thus far and the strong determination to fulfil their duty. The Ambassador has also provided the Thai medicines and necessary medical supplies, reaffirmed the Embassy's readiness to support the Thai HMEC's mission, and discussed possibilities for a joint volunteer activity or a sport event among the Thai community in South Sudan in the near future.
