On 17 January 2024, H.E. Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the Country Strategy Dialogue (CSD) on Thailand at the World Economic Forum 2024, together with the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Minister of Transport.  H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs was also present.

This Country Strategy Dialogue was specifically organized by the WEF as a forum for the Thai Prime Minister to meet with world business leaders from various industries. In his remarks, the Prime Minister underscored Thailand’s openness and readiness for new growth and opportunities, and to discuss core policies on international trade and investment, particularly (1) accelerating free trade agreement negotiations e.g. Thailand – EU FTA; (2) the Landbridge project to make Thailand a regional hub for commerce and logistics; (3) sustainable industries e.g. electric vehicles, green finance, and Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) economy; (4) digital economy including ways to adapt AI and Blockchain technologies to improve and digitize government services for the digital era.
