On 18 April 2025, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, signed the condolence book on the passing of H.E. Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Malaysia's fifth Prime Minister, on behalf of the Prime Minister, at the Embassy of Malaysia in Bangkok.

The Foreign Minister expressed his sincere condolences to the representative of the Embassy before joining in mourning the passing of the former Prime Minister of Malaysia.
