In honour of the 20^th Anniversary of the Establishment of Astana City, the Federation of Muaythai in Kazakhstan organized the Mayor of Astana’s cup Muaythai competition at the Congress Hall, Astana on 15 June 2018.  In this connection, the Royal Thai Embassy brought Muaythai fighters from “Lanna Fighting Muaythai” of Chieng Mai Province of Thailand to demonstrate the Arts of Muay Boran (ancient Muaythai).  Media from Kazakhstan TV, KazSport, and Astana TV recorded and broadcasted the event. 

            There were approximately 1,500 audiences including high level guests namely (1) Mr. Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan (2) Mr. Arystanbek Mukhamediuly, Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan (3) Mr. Karim Massimov, President of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan,  IFMA Vice President, President of the Kazakhstan Muaythai Federation (4) Mr. Asset Issekeshev, Mayor of Astana  (5) Ms. Julia Govinden, CEO of Sportability and the United Through Sport (6) Mr. Stephan Fox, General Secretary of IFMA, AIMS President, GAISF Vice President, and WMC Vice President, and (7) Mr. Fahart Amankulov, IFMA Executive Board member, Vice President of the Kazakhstan Muaythai Federation
