           On 15 - 19 August 2016 the Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand in Moscow has organized the Project “Train the Trainers” aiming at building capacity building of Thai cuisine chefs in Russia. On 15 August 2016 a cooking demonstration was held by lecturers and food specialists form the Suan Dusit University, Chef Phonganan Siriseangphaiwan, and Chef Pussade Kajorn saksirikul  with participation of 12 Russian and Thai chefs from 5 star hotels in Moscow, namely the Hilton Leningrad, the Metropol and the Radisson Royal, “Thai Select” restaurants in Moscow, the Thai Pattara Spa, the Black Thai and the Blok in St. Petersburg. 
           Ambassador Kriangsak Kittichaisaree outlined that the purpose of the cooking demonstration was to improve understanding of the chefs about cooking traditional Thai food and selecting high-quality ingredients from Thailand, maintain the high standard of Thai food and promote the image of Thai restaurants in Russia, especially the six “Thai Select” restaurants in Russia selected by the Commercial Office. 
              After the cooking demonstration the Embassy and the Office of Commercial Affairs organized a business matching session between main importers of Thai food products in Russia, namely Thai Ros, Thai Style, Veles Torg and Exim Pacific and 15 representatives of restaurants and food business with the view to promote Thai food products in Russia.
