On 8th August 2016, the Royal Thai Embassy organized the celebration of the 49th anniversary of the establishment of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) or ASEAN Day at the Royal Thai Residence in Nairobi.  H.E. Prasittiporn Wetprasit, Ambassador of Thailand, as Chairman of the ASEAN Committee in Nairobi, delivered a speech before all members of the ASEAN Committee including Ambassadors of Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines, and the Embassies’ staff together singing the ASEAN anthem.  After the celebration, the second meeting of the ASEAN Committee in Nairobi was held for discussions on its preparation of the ASEAN Festival which is to be held in September 2016, and other matters of mutual interests.
