On 3 August 2016, H.E. Mr. Pitchayaphant Charnbhumidol, Ambassador of Thailand to Brazil, together with the Team Thailand in Rio de Janeiro, organized a public charity event at the Casa Padre Velloso, elderly service center in Rio de Janeiro, by providing Thai food and performing Thai traditional dances to more than 80 elderly members of the center. The event was praised by the city of Rio de Janeiro as a meaningful event for elderly people that clearly shows the so-called “Thai hospitality” among the Brazilian community.
