On 7 August 2016, Mr. Chirachai Punkrasin, Ambassador of Thailand, Embassy staff, Heads of Offices under Team Thailand in Australia, members of Thai Golf Association of Australia, and Thai community in Canberra, participated in “the Queen’s Birthday Cup 2016” at the Gungahlin Lakes Golf Course, Canberra.

             The Thai Golf Association of Australia received the Royal Permission to use the Royal Seal of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s 7th Cycle or 84th Birthday Anniversary for this year trophy.  This represented Her Majesty’s graciousness bestowed upon the Thai Golf Association of Australia and all participants. 

             After the competition, the golfers attended the ceremony to celebrate the 84th Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty the Queen, had dinner together, and then joined the awards ceremony at Sala Thai, Royal Thai Embassy. The Thai Golf Association of Australia will give the proceeds from this tournament to Her Majesty’s Charity.
