On 4 July 2016 the Thai Ambassador hosted a dinner for the members of Sunrise String Orchestra from Thailand. The band participated in the 10th Summa Cum Laude Festival 2016 on 2

July 2016 at Großer Musikvereinssaal and was awarded the first prize with outstanding success in the String Orchestra category.

Additionally, the band performed at MuTH in the morning of 2 July 2016 at MuTH was also selected by the committee to perform at the Great Hall, Wiener Konzerthaus on 5 July 2016.

In July 2015, the Sunrise String Orchestra took part in the 7th Bratislava International Youth Music Festival and received the silver medal for the String Orchestra category.
