On 4 July 2016, H.E. Mr. Chirachai PUNKRASIN, Ambassador of Thailand, chaired the last ASEAN Committee in Canberra (ACC) under Thailand’s Chairmanship at the Royal Thai Embassy.  The meeting was attended by Ambassadors, High Commissioners and representatives from ASEAN missions in Canberra.  The meeting discussed and exchanged views on activities to be organized to promote ASEAN’s presence and raise ASEAN awareness among the people in Australia.  At the end of the meeting, Ambassador of Thailand handed over the ACC Chairmanship to H.E. Mr. Thanh Nghi LUONG, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, the next ACC Chair from July – December 2016.
