On 28 January 2016, H.E. Mr.ThongchaiChasawath presented to H.E. Dr. Tony Tan Keng Yam, President of the Republic of Singapore, the Letter of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Singapore. Ambassador Chasawath was accompanied by Mrs. NorawanChasawath, his spouse, Captain AnupongTaprasob, RTN, Defence and Naval Attaché, and Ms. KasamaSuebwises, Minister Counsellor, the Royal Thai Embassy.

 

            After the Presentation of Credentials Ceremony at Istana, President Tan and Ambassador Chasawath exchanged views on the existing close and cordial relations between Thailand and Singaporein all aspects, especially in terms of economics, trade and investment, and cooperationunderthe ASEAN framework. Ambassador Chasawathexpressed his gratitudeto the Singaporean Government for the honour and the warm hospitality extended to him, and emphasised his readiness to cooperate with all sides to further enhance and strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries.
