On 27 January 2015 at 11.00 a.m., H.E. Mr. Chirachai Punkrasin, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, Mr. Krit Tankanarat, Minister Counsellor, Mrs. Kamonwan Sattayayut, Minister Counsellor of (Education), and Mr. Thanabordee Joothong, First Secretary, welcomed the Organizing Committee and Teachers of the Summer Program for Thai Language and Thai Culture Classes of Buddharangsee Thai Community Language School from NSW at the Royal Thai Embassy. Dr. Songsri Foran, Program Director, reported the successful result of this year programs. Afterward, the Ambassador hosted a luncheon for the group.  

 

            The Summer Program for Thai Language and Thai Culture Classes is a cooperation between Buddharangsee Thai Community Language School and Chulalongkorn University. By sending teachers from Thailand to teach Thai language, Thai Traditional Music and Dances to a young generation who were born in Australia, this allowed them to learn more about their cultural heritage and help keep it alive. The Thai Language and Thai Culture Classes have been successful organized for over 24 years now.
