On 11 December 2015, representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Diplomatic Corps, and representatives from the diplomatic community in Bangkok, totaling 199 individuals from 30 countries, participated in the Bike for Dad event to celebrate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 88th birthday anniversary in Bangkok, Thailand.
H.E. Mr. Mikael Hemniti Winther, the Ambassador of Denmark to Thailand and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, expressed his well-wishes to the His Majesty the King on behalf of the people of Denmark and Diplomatic Corps. Ambassador Winther praised that this event not only reflects the unity of Thai people all over the world, but also shows the Thai people’s love and reverence for His Majesty the King, who has worked tirelessly for the betterment of Thai people everywhere. Members of the Diplomatic Corps also expressed their gratitude for being invited to join “Bike for Dad” to honor His Majesty the King, who has led his country with exemplary grace during his reign.
Royal Thai Embassies, Consulates-General, and Thailand Trade and Economic Office Offices in 96 countries also organized “Bike for Dad” events as well as other activities to celebrate this auspicious occasion, with a total of 9805 participants.
