On 20 - 24 October 2015, Ms. VimonKidchob, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark and Lithuania, visited Lithuania to enhance Thai – Lithuanian relations in many areas, particularly in science and technology as well as education. In this regard, the Ambassador met with Prof. ArturasZukauskas, Rector of Vilnius University (VU), Dr. ValdasJaskunas, Director of the Centre of Oriental Studies of VU, Prof. ValdusSirutkaitis, Director of the Laser Research Centre of VU as well as high level officials of Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  Many issues were discussed during these meetings which include facilitation for exchange students, cooperation in the field of laser technology and activities to promote awareness about ASEAN in Lithuania.
