On 23 October 2015, Mr. Kiattikhun Chartprasert, Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden, and his spouse, together with representatives from the Thai offices in Sweden which comprise Group Captain Manat Chavanaprayoon, Royal Thai Air Force Defence and Air Attaché to Stockholm, and his spouse, Mrs. Orn Duangchan, Assistant Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand in Stockholm, as well as the Embassy’s officials attended a merit-making ceremony at Chulalongkorn’s Memorial Pavilion in Ragunda to commemorate King Chulalongkorn Day. Mr. Jonas Andersson, Mayor of Ragunda, Thai community in Sweden and Swedish people also attended the ceremony. 

 

            On this occasion, Ambassador Kiattikhun paid homage to His Majesty King Chulalongkorn who made a State Visit to Sweden and further to Ragunda in 1897. He highligted that the King Chulalongkorn’s state visit laid a foundation to the bond of friendship and close cooperation between Thailand and Sweden until today. After the ceremony, Mr. Andersson hosted a luncheon for Ambassador Kiattikhun and his delegation.
