On 24 Oct 2015 – H.E. Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag led the Royal Thai Embassy to join 44 other diplomatic and consular missions in Singapore in organising SG50 Diplomatic Charity Bazaar 2015 at Tower Ballroom, Shangri-La Hotel Singapore. Finest products from local SMEs in Thailand, including textiles, spa products, jewellery and honey were sold for fundraising purposes, along with Singaporeans’ favourite “Pad Thai” and “roselle drink” by chefs of Ambassador’s Residence. Raffle tickets were also sold at the event, with various prizes contributed by the Royal Thai Embassy, including AirAsia tickets to Bangkok, “Muay Thai Live: The Legend Lives” tickets, Triple Three restaurant dining vouchers from Mandarin Orchard Hotel, and Semi buffet lunch voucher at Ash & Elm, InterContinental Hotel.
Moreover, Thailand also brought “Dances of the Four Regions” to join the stage performances. The event was attended by H.E. Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Singapore, as the Guest-of-Honour. All profits will be distributed equally between the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund and the Singapore Children’s Society.
