During 10-13 September 2015, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Guangzhou orgnized an outreached consular service in Hainan Province. Deputy Consul-General and Consul (Consular Affairs) held discussions with high-level representatives of Hainan Provicial Office, namely, Foreign & Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, Public Security Department and Exit-Entry Administration Department, in order to forge closer cooperationinrenderingnecessary assitance to Thais in the Island province. The Consulate team held serveral meeting seesions with Thai nationals living in the city of Haikou and Wanling Chinglong toprovide passport service and updates on the latest rules and regulations of Thailand and China. The group also visited aninmate at Hainan Provincial Prison.
The activity is one among outreached projects of the Royal Thai Consulate-General to serve the Thai community within jurisdiction of the Consulate.
