On 22 September 2015, H.E. Mr. Alfredo Labbe, Director General of Foreign Policy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chile conferred the decoration “Orden de Bernardo O’Higgins, Gran Cruz (Order of Bernardo O’Higgins, Grand Cross)” to H.E. Mr. Surapon Petch-vra, Thai Ambassador to Chile on the occasion of the termination of his tenure in Chile.

 

            On this occasion, Mr. Labbe expressed his congratulations to the Thai Ambassador for his extraordinarily active role and successful mission in Chile which has considerably contributed to the strengthening of Thailand-Chile bilateral relations in every aspect.

 

            In his reply speech, the Thai Ambassador was honoured and grateful for the decoration bestowed upon him. He also expressed his appreciation to the Chilean Government and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, friends and collaborators for their kind support which has led to his successful mission in this country. 

 

            After the ceremony, the Director General hosted a farewell luncheon in honour of the Ambassador of Thailand, with the participation of distinguished members of the Diplomatic Corps, high ranking officials of Chilean Foreign Ministry, and members of Chilean-Thai Business Council among others.
