During 31 July - 1 August 2015, the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm, together with the Thai offices in Sweden, held the Thai Festival “Thailand @ Kungsträdgården 2015” in Stockholm. Over 100,000 people visited two-day Festival. On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Kiattikhun Chartprasert delivered a remarks to highligt the objective of the fetival which is to promote Thailand in many areas such as culture, trade, economy, tourism and relations between the peoples of Thailand and Sweden.  

 

            Many activties were arranged by the Royal Thai Embassy, the Thai Offices in Sweden and the local Thai communities in Sweden to promote Thailand in many ways such as Thai food cooking demonstration, quiz games from fruit crafting shows and workshop of handicraft  at the Embassy’s tent. Besides that there were Thai Airways’s and Tourism Authority of Thailand’s tents where people could visit and get information on tourism in Thailand. Other exhibitors from Thai Spa, real-estates in Thailand, products of Thailand, and over 10 Thai food stalls from Thai restaurants in Sweden were very popular in the festival. Apart from the exibitors and Thai food stalls, there were stage performance shows such as Thai puppet shows by Joe Louis puppetry sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of Thailand, live music by the Sound Of Siam band sponsored by Tourism Authoriy of Thailand and the Thai Airways International, Thai traditional performances and Muay Thai performed by Thai communities in Sweden, and many more.  

 

            Another highlight activity was lucky draws in which participants could win roundtrip air tickets to Thailand with accomodations in Thailand sponsored by the Thai Airways International and Tourism Authority of Thailand as well as roundtrip cruise tickets from Stockholm to Tallinn from Tallink Silja Line, courtesy of Thai Honorary Consulate in Tallinn. 

 

            The visitors expressed their appreciation on the activities and enjoyed the performances on the stage, exhibitions and Thai food. Thailand @ Kungsträdgården 2015 is one of the most attractive events in Sweden.
