The Royal Thai Embassy in Buenos Aires organized an event "Thai Night" in Mendoza

            On 14 March 2015, the Royal Thai Embassy in Buenos Aires, in collaboration with “Friends of Thailand” network, organized an event “Thai Night” at Vistalba vineyard in Mendoza province to promote Thai food and culture, as well as major tourism attractions of Thailand, to important persons of Argentine society including local politicians, administrators, leading businessmen and members of the press. 
 
            Mr. Jesada Chavarnbhark, Thai Ambassador to Argentina, and officials of the Royal Thai Embassy, together with Mr. Carlos Pulenta, the owner of Vistalba vineyard, co-organized “Thai Night” event at Vistalba vineyard. With an aim to promote Thai food and Thai culture, the Royal Thai Embassy brought the Thai chef to cook authentic Thai food, namely Massaman curry with beef and chicken, deep fried fish with sweet chili sauce, shrimps with tamarind sauce, stir fried chicken with cashew nuts, vermicelli spicy salad, spicy beef salad, pumpkin with coconut cream, and cantaloupe tapioca pearls, for approximately 150 guests who attended the event.  Moreover, the Royal Thai Embassy also exhibited photos of major tourism attractions of Thailand taken by Mr. Aldo Sessa, well-known Argentine photographer, and showed multimedia about Thailand and Thai culture in order to create Thainess atmosphere during the event.  
 
             The Thai Night event in Mendoza was well attended by important guests including renowned local politicians and administrators, businessmen, editors of gourmet and tourism media, as well as celebrities in Argentine society.  Also, the event was held to launch the big bike caravan “Los Piyus” which is a friendship caravan rolling around the world to learn and exchange culture with local people. In the year 2015, Loy Piyus group has a plan to organize a caravan with the route Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh – Phnom Penh – Bangkok in coming May.
