On 16 April 2015, at 11.30 hrs, H.E. Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassador of Thailand to Poland, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Wojciech Pobog-Pagowski, Director of the Department of Promotion and Bilateral Cooperation, Ministry of Economy of Poland, together with Mr. Krzysztof Wiktorowicz, specialist, Department of International Cooperation. During the meeting, Director Pobog-Pagowski shared information on Polish foreign trade and investment, including its economic relations with Thailand. The Polish side hoped that the trade volume between the two countries would be more balance by, for example, supporting the export of Polish agricultural products and machinery to Thailand. Furthermore, the two sides agreed to exchange information to encourage Thai investors to Poland and vice versa, including trade missions and explore cooperation in other areas of mutual benefit, including SMEs development.
At 12.30hrs, H.E. Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassador of Thailand to Poland, paid a courtesy call on Mrs. Maria Leissner, Secretary-General, Community of Democracies (CD). On this occasion, Ambassador briefed Secretary-General about the current political situation in Thailand and the government’s adherence to the Roadmap to secure a more sustainable democracy for Thailand. The Secretary-General expressed her understanding of the political situation in Thailand and, in noting the openness of the Thai side to engage with foreign experts in the reform and constitutional drafting process, the Secretary-General also expressed readiness to explore ways to cooperate with Thailand.
