Thai Ambassador to Poland meets with President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce and Polish – Thai Parliamentarian Friendship Group

            On 15 April 2015, H.E. Mr.Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassador of Thailand to Poland, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Andrzej Arendarski, President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce (PCC) together with Mr. Jerzy Drozdz, Director of Foreign Relations Department and Ms. Katarzyna Kaniewska, Regional Director for China and Far East, during which they discussed various trade and business opportunities between the two countries. Both agreed to support more exchanges of visits of the private sectors between Thailand and Poland and strengthen existing cooperation. In view of the fact that although the trade balance has been in Thailand’s favour, they agreed that further efforts should be made to increase the volume as well as a more balance for trade and noted the prospects of Polish agricultural products, especially apple, for Thai and ASEAN consumers.
 
            Ambassador of Thailand to Poland, met with Polish – Thai Parliamentarian Friendship Group, comprising Mr. Marek Konopka, Chairman of the Group, and 3 other senators. On this occasion, Ambassador briefed members of the Group about the current political situation in Thailand and the government’s adherence to the 3 stage Roadmap to secure a more sustainable democracy for Thailand. The Chairman expressed his understanding of the situation and expressed confidence in Thailand’s ability to overcome the challenges. They also exchanged views on ways to strengthen bilateral ties and cooperation including the areas of trade, culture and future visit of Polish – Thai Parliamentarian Friendship Group to Thailand.
