On 31 March 2015, H.E. Mr. Kiattikhun Chartprasert, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Sweden, presented his Letters of Credence appointing him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Sweden to His Majesty Carl XVI Gustaf at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
In the morning, the Royal Palace in Stockholm hold the traditional ceremony by appointing Ambassador Bertil Roth as Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps to accompany H.E. Ambassador Kiattikhun and his accompanying suite to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden. H.E. Ambassador Kiattikhun was driven in a hourse-drawn State Coach from the Ministry to the Royal Palace in Stockholm where a military band and guard of honour awaited. H.E. Ambassador Kiattikhun was given an audience with His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf for 20 minutes to present the Letters of Credence.
After the ceremony, H.E. Ambassador Kiattikhun hosted a Vin d’honneur at the Embassy which was well attended by more than 50 guests. The guests included Ambassador Bertil Roth, Marshall of the Diplomatic Corps, Mr. Hans Dyhlén, Lord-in-Waiting of the Royal Palace in Stockholm, Ambassador Caroline Vicini, Chief of Protocol, Heads of diplomatic missions in Sweden, Mr. Kenneth Orrgren, Honorary Consul of Thailand in Gothenburg, the representatives of Thai offices in Sweden, and the representatives from both public and private sectors.
