"Taste of Thai Cuisine” Promote Thai cusine in Brasilia

On 30 January 2015, H.E. Mr. PitchayaphantCharnbhumidol, Ambassador of Thailand to Brazil and his spouse hosted the “Taste of Thai Cuisine” at the Thai Residence in order to promote Thai food and ingredients for the Brazilians. Both the President and Vice President of Restaurants and Hotels (Sindhobar), the Mikami Entrepreneur, OBA Supermarket purchasing Managers as well as the Press and Media from the Correior Brasilia Newspaper and Encontro Cooking Magazine attended the aforementioned event.
During this occasion, Ambassador informed objectives of the Embassy to forge partnership and cooperation in promoting Thai food and ingredients. He introduced the display of Authentic Thai food, namely (1) “Tom Yam Goong” –Hot and Sour Prawn Soup (2) “Phad Thai” - Fried Rice Noodle with Tofu, Egg and Deep-fried Shrimp (3) Beef Green Curry and (4) Sago in coconut cream, with the ingredientsbeing displayedtogether. Some printing materials that show Thai food and tourist destinations are also presented.
Furthermore, the Ambassador discussedways and means to further cooperate with the Brazilian side such as for the Thai Gastronomy Week in Brasilia in April 2015 with the aim to increase more consumption of Thaiseasoning, ingredients and ready-made Thai food products among Brazilians in the near future.
