On 30 January 2558 Mr. Anotai Homjit, chargé d'affaires, met with Mrs. Soukeyna Gueya Ba, an entrepreneur importing Thai products to Senegal and West African countries for the past 25 years, and Mr. Mbanga Ndiaye, Secretary-General of the AMICALE DES SENEGALAIS DE BANGKOK “THAILANDE”. Discussions were about trade cooperation and promotion between Thailand – Senegal, in particular, imports of silk, lace, garments, artificial flower, objects for ornaments, consumables and melamine becoming popular in West Africa.

 

            In this relation, the Royal Thai Embassy in Dakar has provided and exchanged trade information including information on the exhibitions in Thailand such as The Bangkok International Gifts and Bangkok International Houseware Fairs (BIG + BIH), The Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fairs, and OTOP Fairs where entrepreneurs are involved in the business negotiations and business matchings directly with Thai producers.
