On 26 January 2015, His Excellency General Prayut Chan-o-cha (Ret.), Prime Minister of Thailand, visited the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Bangkok to sign the condolence book following the passing of the late Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 23 January 2015. His Excellency Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and high-ranking officials from the Ministry, also signed the condolence book at the Embassy on 28 January 2015.

On this occasion, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed sympathy and condolences, through Mr. Hamdi Ahmed Joud Allah Al Sahli, Chargé de Mission of the Embassy, to the Government and the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on this great loss. The Deputy Minister also reaffirmed the Royal Thai Government’s readiness to strengthen further ties of friendship and cooperation between the two Kingdoms.

The government agencies and state enterprises were instructed to fly the Thai national flag at half-mast during 26 – 28 January 2015.
