On 7 December 2014, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Ambassador of Thailand, attended the Father’s day ceremony at Queensland Old Museum, Brisbane. The event was organized by "Sawasdee Australia" Thai Radio in Queensland at 4EB FM 98.1 and Thai community in Brisbane to celebrate His Majesty King Bhumibol’s 87 Birthday Anniversary. Mr. Graham Quirk, Lord Mayor of Brisbane, representative of Brisbane and Mr. Anthony Shorten, Member of the House of Representative of Queensland, representative of minister of local community and Multicultural ministry, including Friends of Thailand also attended the event.
