Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark visited Samsø

On 29 November 2014, H.E. Miss Vimon Kidchob, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark paid a visit to Samsø, Denmark’s first Sustainable Energy Island.
During the visit, the Ambassador took the opportunity to meet and exchange views with Mr. Marcel Meijer, the Mayor of Samso and representatives from Energy Academy, Committee for Business and Settlement and Network for Local Food Producers.
Situated in the middle of Denmark, Samsø was chosen to be Denmark’s Sustainable Energy Island in 1997. At present, 100% of electricity used in the island comes from Wind energy and 70% of the heat comes from sustainable energy sources.
