On 8th November 2014, Mrs. Duangjai  Charnbhumidol, wife of  Ambassador of Thailand to Brazil led Thai officials and spouses to organize a Thailand booth to promote Thai food and cultures to Brazilian people as well as foreign diplomats at the GCCM International Bazaar 2014 which was organized by Group of Spouses of Head of Missions in Brasilia at the Clube do Exercito, Brasilia. Approximately 4,000 participants joined in the Bazaar.  The Thai Embassy in cooperation with the Brazilian Traditional Muay Thai Association in Brasilia also organized a presentation of Muay Thai in the fair.  

 

            The aim of Thailand’s participation was a continuing attempt to raise Thailand’s profile and awareness among Brazilian communities. This would hopefully lead to an increasing number of Brazilian tourists in Thailand, and help promote Thai food in Brazil.The activities would also eventually increase more consumption of ready-made Thai food products and seasoning among Brazilians in the near future.
