On 10 November 2014, the Royal Thai Embassy in Santiago organized Loy Krathong Festival 2014 at the Thai Ambassador’s Residence.  About 60 participants both Thais and Chileans, including members of Chilean-Thai Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, ex-Minister of Economy, Mr. Felix de Vicente, and members of Chilean-Thai Business Council, attended the event.

 

            The participants were given a chance to prepare their own “krathong” before floating it in the water. After that they were invited to join Thai traditional dance (Ramwong) and had Thai food together. 

 

            All participants were fascinated with the activities which gave them a real touch of the Thai culture.
