On 8 November 2014, Ambassador Chalit Manityakul presided over the Offering Ceremony of Robes to the monks at the Boghal Temple, New Delhi.
The Robes Offering Ceremony at the Boghal Temple, the first and the only Thai temple in New Delhi, was organized by Royal Thai Embassy in cooperation with the Thai Community in New Delhi and Buddhist pilgrims from Sanghathan Temple, Nonthaburi, Thailand. After the religious ceremony, all the Buddhists offered foods and Sangha Dhana to the Thai and Indian Buddhist monks. The donation from the Embassy and Thai and Indian Buddhists totaled 565,565 Rupees (approximately 300,360 Baht).
Again, this auspicious ceremony not only provides opportunity for the Thai communities in India to make merit but also helps forging the strong Thai Community in India.
