On 30 September 2014, H.E. Mr. Panyarak Poolthup, Ambassador of Thailand to Vietnam, paid a call on H.E. Mr. Ta Quang Ngoc, President of the Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association (VTFA), and the executive members of VTFA to present financial assistance worth USD 4,000 for supporting the activities of the Association.

          On this occasion, Ambassador Panyarak emphasized the willingness of the Royal Thai Embassy to strengthen the relationship between the peoples of Thailand and Vietnam through the Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Association and the Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association, the main mechanisms in promoting people to people relationship as stated in the joint statement on establishing strategic partnership between Thailand and Vietnam. Moreover, Ambassador took this opportunity to inform the executive committee of VTFA of the important activities of the Embassy in the coming months which are the Royal Kathina Ceremony, His Majesty the King’s 87^th Birthday Anniversary and Thailand Day 2014 Festival.

          H.E. Mr. Ta Quang Ngoc, in turn, expressed his gratitude to the Royal Thai Embassy for extending  financial support to the Association, which reflects the determination of the Embassy to support the activities of the Association and the relationship between the peoples of both countries as Thailand and Vietnam have become a strategic partnership.
