The Thai Embassy in Stockholm together with the Mae Fah Luang Foundation gave a breifing on sustainable alternative livelihood development to Thai community

On 7 September 2014, H.E. Mr. Somchai Charanasomboon, Thai Ambassador to Sweden received Khunying Puangroi Diskul na Ayudhaya, Deputy Secretary-General of Mae Fah Luang Foundation, representatives from the Foundation and representatives from the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs and hosted a briefing on sustainable development projects in Thailand and neighbouring countries run by the Foundation to the Thai communities in Stockholm and nearby at the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm.
The briefing aims to promote the understading on the Foundation’s holistic approach of Sustainable Alternative Livelihood Development (SALD) focusing on issues of health, livelihood, and education and its 3Ss Model of Survival, Sufficiency, and Sustainability stem from the development principles of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand. Over 60 people attended the said event. Apart from the briefing, there were showcases of products made by the rural people under the Foundation’s management.
