On 8 August 2014, H.E. Mr. Surapon Petch-vra, Thai Ambassador to Chile, and Thai diplomats joined with ASEAN colleagues in Santiago in celebrating the 47th Anniversary of ASEAN at the Vietnamese Embassy premises. 

 

           The activity started with Chilean National Anthem and ASEAN Anthem while ASEAN flag was raised to the tope of the pole. H.E. Ms. Ha Thi Ngoc Ha, Vietnamese Ambassador in her capacity as Chair of ASEAN Committee in Santiago made remarks about ASEAN development. After the remarks, there was a reception in which all ASEAN Embassies in Santiago contributed their foods.  About 70 foreign ambassadors and diplomats as well as Chilean distinguished guests participated in the ceremony.
