     On 2 September 2013, Mr. Somkiat Pananookooln, Director of Engineering Division, SCG Cement Co.,Ltd., presented cash contribution of 3,500 USDollars toH.E. Mr. Pisanu Suvanajata, Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar, for the renovation of Prostheses Unit at the National Rehabilitation Hospital, Yangon. This fund will support the Embassy’s project to improve the prosthetic service at the Hospital, in collaboration with the Prostheses Foundation of H.R.H Princess Mother.  Under this project, the Thai side supports capacity building of technicians and provides the Hospital with machines, tools, and prosthetic parts and materials, by sharing the internationally renowned technology, researched and developed by the Foundation.  The Hospital provided prosthetic services to Myanmar amputees free of charge.
     On 17 September 2013, Mr. Mongkon Ponchunchoovong, Chief Engineer, Engineering Division, SCG Cement Co.,Ltd., presented cash contribution of 3,400 US Dollars to Mr. Chainarong Keratiyutwong, Deputy Chief of Mission, to sponsor the “Melodies of Friendship”concert. This musicalperformance, to be held on 21 September 2013 at the National Theatre, Yangon, is a special show by Suanplu Chorus, a Thai international award-winning chorus and renowned for arranging local classical songs into Western choral style.  The upcoming 90-minute show will feature Myanmar, Thai, ASEAN, and Broadway music, together with spectacular choreography and full scale production, to glitter this memorable night. 
     These two projects are part of the commemorative activities which the Royal Thai Embassy has organized to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of the Establishment of Thailand-Myanmar Diplomatic Relations in 2013 throughout the year.
