On 8 August 2007, Foreign Minister Nitya Pibulsonggram, hosted a luncheon to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) at Vithes Samosorn, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event was well attended by 100 participants comprising representatives of ASEAN+3 and ARF member countries embassies, scholars and media.
