On 8 August 2007, Mr.Nitya Pibulsonggram, Minister of Foreign Affairs, presided over the opening ceremony of ASEAN Day to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the establishment of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) held at Vithes Samosorn, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event was well attended by more than 300 teachers and students from 54 schools who participated in the ASEAN Quiz, students from schools under the Young Ambassador of Virtue Projects, Foreign Ministrys officials and media.
