On 23 January 2020, Ms. Karntimon Ruksakiati, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, was invited to attend the ceremony of Grand Travel Awards 2020, which is the biggest award ceremony for the tourism industry in Norway held annually for 25 years by TRAVELNEWS magazine. This year the Thai agencies received awards in the ceremony are (1) Tourism Authority of Thailand, Stockholm Office (taking care of promoting Thai Tourism in Norway) for the Best Foreign Tourist Office of the Year Award and (2) Thai Airways for the Best Airlines Intercontinental with Direct Departure from Norway Award.

It is worth noting that Tourism Authority of Thailand, Stockholm Office and Thai Airlines have been proud recipients of awards in the Grand Travel Awards for 15 times each, and Thailand is the only country in Asia participated and won awards in this year event. This achievement reflects success of Tourism Authority of Thailand and Thai Airways for making Thailand recognized by the tourism Industry in Norway for many years in the past and many years to come.
