The Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand in Dubai and Team Thailand in the United Arab Emirates, jointly organized the 5th Thai Festival in Abu Dhabi between 17-18 January 2020 at Umm Al Emarat Park.

Ambassador Waravuth Pouapinya, together with Mr. Chairat Sirivat, Consul-General of Thailand in Dubai and Ms. Rujirat Chatchaermkit, Executive Director, Tourism Products Department of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, presided over the opening ceremony whereas numbers of Ambassadors and diplomatic corps also attended the ceremony.

Various activities such as Thai food stalls, Thai products, Muay Thai demonstration, Thai fruit carving, Thai massage demonstration and Thai fabric making demonstration were present at the event. The introduction of some Thai business in the United Arab Emirates were also included.

Furthermore, the event was also graced by Ms. Kemanij Jamikorn or known as “Pancake”, a Thai renowned actress and super model, to be on stage for the Thai fabric fashion show along with the Thai models in the United Arab Emirates under the Thai fashion brand “Kanapot”.

The 5^th Thai Festival also had a cooking demonstration session by “Chef Tukta” from the Iron Chef Thailand to be on stage and demonstrated the Thai cuisine to the audience.

More than Ten thousand visitors attended the event.
