On 23-25 February 2025, His Excellency Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, will pay an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam at the invitation of His Excellency Mr. Bui Thanh Son, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam. This will be his first official visit to Viet Nam as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

During the visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand will pay a courtesy call on the Prime Minister of Viet Nam and hold a bilateral meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam. The two sides will review the progress of Thailand-Viet Nam bilateral cooperation and explore ways to further enhance bilateral relations in all dimensions. They will also exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest. This visit will lay the groundwork for the upcoming official visit to Viet Nam by the Prime Minister of Thailand and the 4^th Thailand-Viet Nam Joint Cabinet Retreat (JCR) in the near future.

The Thai Foreign Minister will also participate in the 2^nd ASEAN Future Forum 2025 to be held in Ha Noi on 25 February 2025, during which he will share Thailand’s vision for advancing the ASEAN community in the years ahead.

Additionally, the Thai Foreign Minister will meet with representatives of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ThaiCham) in Viet Nam to discuss economic cooperation and business opportunities between Thailand and Viet Nam.
