On 10 June 2026, H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, represented the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs to deliver remarks at the Plenary Session on “Development Models Amid Global Transformations” of the 3rd ASEAN Future Forum (AFF) in Ha Noi, Viet Nam.

The Vice Foreign Minister presented Thailand’s perspective that ASEAN must adapt its development model in response to the evolving global political and economic landscape by focusing on three strategic priorities, namely strengthening economic resilience, promoting innovation and future readiness, as well as developing new forms of partnerships that are open and diversified. This would enable ASEAN to sustain growth, enhance the region’s competitiveness, and improve the livelihoods and opportunities of the peoples in the region in an inclusive manner.
