On 21 April 2025, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director–General of the Department of International Organisations, and Mr. Kirill Logvinov, Director–General of the Department of International Organisations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, held a bilateral consultation on United Nations-related issues between Thailand and Russia at the Ministry. 
 
Both sides exchanged views on ways and means to enhance cooperation on issues of mutual interest under the framework of the United Nations. They reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening multilateralism, with the United Nations at its core, and discussed international peace and security issues, as well as regional situations, with the aim of supporting efforts to address common challenges in the context of the evolving international political landscape. 
 
This bilateral consultation was organized as part of the 5th Plan of Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and the Russian Federation (2023 - 2025), furthering the aim to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. Currently, both sides are preparing to commence discussions on the next Plan of Consultations for the years 2026 - 2028.
