On 17 November 2025, Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys, together with Mr. Natouch Thammanuruk, Counsellor of the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm, welcomed Mr. Prasert Sirinapaporn, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, along with executives from the Groundwater Development Fund Committee and the Department of Groundwater Resources, at the Embassy. The visit was part of the delegation’s trip to Sweden to study, exchange, and strengthen knowledge and experience with Swedish counterparts for the development of groundwater management in Thailand.

The Ambassador welcomed the delegation and gave a briefing on the overview of Thailand–Sweden relations and cooperation, as well as the Embassy’s missions, including promoting collaboration with Sweden in innovation and sustainability, especially by supporting the acceleration of Thai startups and cooperation in sustainable forest management. The Ambassador also outlined the Embassy’s consular duties and its role in protecting Thai nationals in Sweden. In addition, the Ambassador reaffirmed the Embassy’s readiness to support cooperative projects between the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and various Swedish agencies or sectors, both in areas related to the development of groundwater resources in Thailand and in the advancement of carbon credits and carbon capture and storage, which are priorities of the Thai government.
