Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs promotes bilateral and development cooperation during bilateral talks held on sideline of SIDS4

On 27 – 30 May 2024, Mr. Paisan Rupanichkij, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, held bilateral meetings with high-level representatives from various countries on the margins of the 4th International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS4) in Antigua and Barbuda, with an aim to promote bilateral and development cooperation

On this occasion, the Deputy Permanent Secretary pushed forward Thailand International Postgraduate Programme (TIPP) and Annual International Training Course (AITC), which is provided through Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA). He also discussed multilateral cooperation, such as Pacific Islands Forum (PIF), Thailand-Pacific Island Countries Forum (TPIF) and cooperation under the United Nations framework. In addition, the Deputy Permanent Secretary reiterated Thailand’s readiness to work with all partners and stakeholders to further advance human rights agenda as Thailand is presenting its candidature to the Human Rights Council for the term 2025-2027.

Mr. Viriato Luis Soares Casssama, Minister of Environment, Biodiversity and Climate Action of Guinea-Bissau, (5) Honourable Fekitamoeloa Katoa ‘Utoikamanu, Minister for Meteorology, Energy, Information, Disaster Management, Environment, Climate Change and Communications (MEIDECC) of Tonga, (6) Honourable Sakiasi Ditoka, Minister of Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management of Fiji, (7) H.E. Mr. Lasha Darsalia, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, (8) H.E. Ms. Ilana Victorya Seid, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Permanent Representative of Palau to the United Nations in New York, (9) H.E. Mr. Jeem Lippwe, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Permanent Representative of Micronesia to the United Nations in New York, (10) H.E.
