Ambassador Tanee visits a Thai national injured after ROK Air Force fighter jets mistakenly dropped bombs during live-fire drills

On 10 March 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, visited a Thai woman who was injured after two ROK fighter jets mistakenly dropped bombs outside a training range during joint US-ROK live-fire drills in area of Pocheon City on 6 March 2025.
 
At present, the Thai injured woman has been receiving treatment provided by the ROK Armed Forces Capital Hospital in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.
 
Ambassador Tanee visited and gave moral support to a Thai woman who has just recovered from surgery and brought a Thai mango basket, essential items, and nonprescription medicines to her.
 
The ROK Air Force earlier apologized for the damage to civilians via media and is investigating the cause of accident and vowed to compensate for overall damage.
 
Ambassador is seeking for an appointment to meet and learn from high-ranking Commander of the ROK Air Force and Ministry of Foreign Affairs about explanation on details of the incident, compensation, and other related matters, including finding preventive measures to avoid the recurrence of this incident in the future.
