On 5 February 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, delivered the welcoming remarks at the Royal Thai Armed Forces Day reception held at the Ministry of National Defense Convention Hall, Seoul.

Ambassador Tanee underscored the close and longstanding relations and defence cooperation between Thailand and the ROK, which is rooted in the shared courage and sacrifice from both countries during the Korean War. The Ambassador particularly emphasised the cooperation between the armed forces of both sides on joint military exercises, defence industry promotion, and joint action on traditional and non-traditional security threats, and expressed Thailand’s readiness to foster even closer collaboration in the future, including in the interment of additional Thai Korean War Veterans in the ROK.
