On 25 June 2024, Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Thailand, met with H.E. Mr. Alounkeo Kittikhoun, Special Envoy of the ASEAN Chair on Myanmar, in Bangkok. The Thai side reaffirmed full support for the leading role of ASEAN and the effort by the Lao PDR, as ASEAN Chair, to advance the implementation of ASEAN’s 5-Point Consensus.
