On 12 December 2023, Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, had a meeting with Ms. Melissa Brown, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of State.
Both sides discussed how to further strengthen Thailand – U.S. relations, particularly focusing on enhancing high-level engagements and exchange of visits as well as plans for the Thailand - U.S. Strategic and Defense Dialogue between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defense with the U.S. counterparts. Both sides also discussed ways to enhance economic partnership and promote more investment opportunities. In addition, both sides exchanged views on regional and global issues, including the situation in Myanmar, Middle-East and Ukraine.
